This Diploma in Education and Training qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. It provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as Individuals not currently in a teaching or training role, currently teaching and training including those who have just begun teaching and training and individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.

This course will be taught and assessed over 360 guided learning hours.
This qualification develops practical teaching skills and, through the optional units, prepares teachers to work in a wide range of contexts.
This course is delivered and assessed using Zoom and Microsoft Forms or ClassMarker. We will also give the option of classroom delivery.
To be awarded the NCFE Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, learners must achieve a minimum of 120 credits: 75 from the mandatory units and a minimum of 45 from the optional units. At least 61 credits must be at or above Level 5.
There are no formal entry requirements, however all trainee teachers joining this qualification programme will undertake an initial assessment of skills in English, mathematics and ICT that is accredited by NCFE.
Potential teacher trainees wishing to take any of the specialist optional units will need to evidence Level 3 personal skills in English or mathematics, as appropriate.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
